Jailhouse Rocks

 Jailhouse Rocks

For several months now, Chocolateness has been featured as a product in the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce Gift Shop. One of the features of this historical area is the Brown County Museum of History – located in what was formerly the Brown County Jail.

The building was constructed back in 1902 and took 18 months to complete, resulting in a structure 4 stories high and capable of housing over 70 inmates. Back in the day, all that was served to the prisoners was pinto beans, potatoes, corn and some bread. The memorable, castle-like design of the jail is it’s most famous feature – apart from the museum housed within, and is something we thought to honor with our product.

We at Chocolateness decided to introduce Jailhouse Rocks to the selection of the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce. These small, delicious treats are sold in a bag where we’ve faithfully reproduced the impression of the Brown County Jail. Not only will you have a large bag of succulent treats to enjoy, the bag itself is a worthy memento and souvenir of the trip itself. It’s drawstring design and qualitative material ensures an impression far beyond that of a simple container.
